Vijaya Nursing Home was founded in 1995 by Dr Uma Maheswara Rao and Dr Vijayalakshmi. It was Dr Uma’s childhood dream to become a doctor and set up his own hospital. Dr Uma has done his MBBS from Andhra Medical College, Vizag and MD in Anaesthesiology from Gandhi Medical college, Hyderabad. Dr Vijayalakshmi has done her MBBS and MD in Gynaecology & Obstetrics from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. Turning down offers to head OBGYN & Anaesthesia departments at an upcoming corporate hospital back in 1995, they started Vijaya Nursing Home with the goal to offer high quality services at affordable costs
Within 7 years of opening the nursing home, VNH was moved to the current bigger premises to accommodate more spacious rooms and waiting areas to make the patient experience as pleasant as possible. Vijaya Nursing Home is now a 20 bedded hospital with VIP, A/C single, Non A/C single and Sharing rooms. Theatre complex consists of 1 major operation theatre and 1 minor operation theatre and labour room. Equipment has been consistently upgraded at par with medical technology advances.
